Linking Human Systems
Linking Human Systems is an international organization that focuses on training, consultation and research. The underlying model used within LHS is the Transitional Family Theory (TFT), which is based on the principle that spirituality in conjunction with connectedness to family and culture of origin are vital to the healing process. The emphasis is on empowering individuals and families to take charge of their own direction in order to achieve their goals.
Recovery Resource Center
The Recovery Resource Center (RRC) is the clinical component of this integrated system and falls under the umbrella of Linking Human Systems. To date there are 4 centers: Albany, New York and Boulder, Denver and Vail Valley, Colorado. Each center offers recovery and healing-related services for individuals and families, as well as training for professionals and agencies. All the interventions applied are broadly focused on the mind-body-spirit continuum and are respectful of the expertise, love and commitment of the individuals and families served. The RRC uses the ARISE method of Intervention to mobilize families and concerned others to help the addicted person begin treatment.
LINC Foundation
The LINC Foundation is an international non-profit organization developed following the 9/11 disaster in New York City. The LINC Foundation is committed to helping individuals, families, communities and organizations access the inherent resilience of the human spirit to overcome difficulties and/or to reach desired objectives. The Foundation was expressly founded to work in the prevention and intervention of trauma, especially from a disastrous event.
