Mona Mittal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Science, School of Public Health, at the University of Maryland, College Park. As a clinical researcher, Dr. Mittal is engaged in prevention and intervention research focused on individuals and couples with experiences of interpersonal violence. Her research focuses on mental, and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of survivors of violence using a trauma-informed lens. Her current projects include: 1) an intervention study on interpersonal violence, substance use, and HIV among African American heterosexual couples; 2) a study on COVID-19, interpersonal violence, and SRH outcomes among women.
